3 Ways to Simplify School Lunches

Hey, Mommyheroes!!

It’s back to school season y’all!! This was our first back to school season and I must say, it’s been a pretty cool experience! Our entire home was excited to make the transition from all of the children being at home to carpool lines, school events, and extra-curricular activities!! Fun, right!  For me, I was excited about preparing lunch for my baby! So many choices, right?! I want to share with you 3 EASY ways to simplify school lunches! Hope you enjoy! 🙂

  1. Buy In Bulk – We LOVE buying in bulk. Anybody else?! Where has Costco been all of my life!? So glad I was made aware of such an awesome place!  We shop the sales and we focus our shopping around whole foods! We stock up on fresh and frozen fruits and veggies. As soon as we get home, my husband unloads the grocery and I’ll start washing and storing our fresh produce. It may take a while BUT it’ll pay off during the busy week! Trust me!!
  2. Prep The Night Before – As soon as we are home from extra-curricular activities, I start prepping lunch for the next day! That way, it’s done! Usually, it’s SUPER busy after dinner trying to get everyone bathed and in bed! So, I have to prepare lunch before I start our night time routine! It may take a bit of strategy, but it’s worth it!
  3. Use Reusable Lunch Accessories – Save the Earth and money at the same time. Sounds like a winner to me! I don’t think I’ll ever buy juice boxes again. Drink In The Box juice container is a life saver for sure! We’ve been using this reusable drink container for about a week and so far, so good! No leaks! I must say, I was a bit nervous in the beginning. I KNEW it was going to leak – boy was I wrong! I also love the reusable snack bags by BumKins – a definite must have!

Before I go I want to leave you with some AWESOME, affordable lunch ideas for your little back to schooler!!

Love you Mommyhero!

Until next time…
