Ok, I know how real the struggle is searching for nut-free snacks for your little one. Ugh, sometimes I wish I could just take the nut allergy away. My five-year-old Rj has a peanut and tree nut allergy. Say hello to Rj!
It can be a pain reading labels, researching ingredients, and trying to find snacks that are safe and that don’t make him feel “different” amongst his peers. Although he is well informed of his nut allergy, I don’t want this allergy to run his life. If you know what I mean! Snacks are one of the trickiest foods when searching for a nut-free solution. Especially, granola bars! Some labels will inform of a nut-free product but some nut-free products are not made in a nut-free facility – and could still pose a potential danger. And let’s be honest, SOME nut-free snacks taste like cardboard – in the words of my 5-year-old. LOL! 🙂 I would love to share with you 5 TASTY nut-free snacks for your kiddo! Here goes…
Wow Butter – This creamy butter tastes JUST like peanut butter. It. Is. Amazing. Wow Butter should be a staple in your home. Who wouldn’t love a tasty Wow Butter and jelly sandwich?! My kiddos love Wow Butter with apples, bananas, and crackers. I also love how the company includes nut-free stickers to place in your child’s lunchbox. Your child can finally have a “peanut” butter and jelly sandwich!
FREEYUMM – These granola bars and cookies are a godsend. No, really. I’m not quite sure how they make their products so delicious AND healthy! FREEYUMM snacks are FREE of over eight allergens including milk (all dairy), eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat/gluten, soy, fish, shellfish, sulfites, and sesame. Sounds like a winner to me. Did I mention how yummy the chocolate chip cookies are?! Thank me later! 🙂
MySuperCookies Organic Cookies – Say hello to this box full of yummy yummy goodness! These cookies are OMG!! Like, there are no words. This nicely packaged treat is great for lunchboxes or after school snacks. Did I mention how tasty these cookies are!? Try it out! Your little one won’t be disappointed!
Don’t Go Nuts Chocolate Spread – Ok, here’s the showstopper! Y’all (excuse my “southern-ness”) say bye bye to Nutella and hello to Don’t Go Nuts’s OHmazing chocolate spread! Rj loves this sweet treat, especially with some yummy strawberries! This vegan treat is great for lunchboxes, sleepovers, and date nights (chocolate covered strawberries are date night necessities) 😉
Don’t Go Nuts Gorilla Power – BEST “granola” bar ever! This tasty treat is an awesome “we’re running late for to school” breakfast option. LOL! Your little one is sure to go NUTS over this gorilla power bar.
I hope you’ve found these snack options easy and convenient. Try them out and let me know how they work for your little one.
Until next time…
Love you Mommyhero!
