So you all should know I am a breastfeeding advocate!! I LOVE the idea of breastfeeding and the tons of benefits that come along with it. If you’ve read my blog post 5 Breastfeeding Tip For First Time Moms, you know I shared some great advice for new moms! But what I didn’t say is that it’s tough. Although I believe that breast is best, I’m NOT here for “mommy shaming” or pressuring moms to breastfeed. Some moms choose not to breastfeed for whatever reason and IT’S OK! Breastfeeding is a personal choice, like anything else regarding your children and family.
I recently came across a YouTube video that accurately explained similar feelings I experienced with my first two children. I wasn’t mentally prepared to breastfeed my two sons. I just couldn’t get it. I tried, BUT I JUST COULDN”T GET IT! Third times a charm, right?! I was in a better place mentally which allowed me to successfully breastfeed my daughter. If you’re a first-time mom or a new mom interested in breastfeeding, please watch this video!

As mothers, we have to learn to prepare each other for the good and the bad of motherhood. Breastfeeding is an emotional journey filled with moments of joy and at times, defeat. I want to encourage you to do what’s best for YOU! Don’t allow pressure from other moms or family members to make you feel inadequate. DO WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU!!
Oh, and your boobs WILL be saggy when your breastfeeding journey is over! LOL! Don’t say I didn’t tell you! 🙂
Until next time…
Love you Mommyhero!
Always remember, You are strong. You are great. You can do anything.
