I am SUPER excited to announce WIC participants now have access to one of the BEST organic baby foods on the market. For those who don’t know Jennifer Garner’s Once Upon A Farm is now available to low-income households across the United States. According to the USDA, WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children – better known as the WIC Program – serves to safeguard the health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating including breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to health care. This makes me want to cry real tears. One of the reasons for starting Mommyhero was to give mothers access to organic products despite economic status. I discuss it here in this video. I want mothers to have knowledge of and have access to the BEST organic products for themselves and their families.
As a former WIC participant myself, it makes me happy to see this type of partnership. Prayerfully other organic companies will follow suit. As a mother, you should have access to the best resources for your child. Unfortunately, sometimes you may not have the necessary means to do so and it’s a disheartening feeling. Trust me, I know. I’ve been there. 🙁 But we won’t get into all of that, I’ll save it for a later blog post. LOL!!
I am glad to see Once Upon a Farm step up to close the gap in the food industry as it relates to equal opportunity. I love everything about this move. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for the WIC program and other food supplemental programs like WIC!
This is the main reason I LOVE this organic baby food. I love what the company stands for. I love Jennifer Garner’s concept behind Once Upon A Farm. You can read about it here. Did I mention how yummy it is?! It is delicious and it covers all ages, even adults! Yes, I love it too! It’s a hit in my household! 👍
Be sure to let ALL of your mommy-friends know (some are ashamed to be WIC participants) about this awesome opportunity for their babies to get a taste of Once Upon A Farm’s awesome goodness!! Let’s feed all the babies. 🙂
Have you tried this baby food? If so, let me know in the comments!!
Until next time,
Love you Mommyhero!
You are STRONG. You are GREAT, you can do anything!!
